Focus of work: Support of the LEC’s Data Analytics team
We are looking for a new team member to support our Data Analytics team. This team deals with various research topics in the field of large internal combustion engines, such as data-driven condition monitoring. The role involves a wide range of data analytics tasks, including data preparation, analysis, modeling, and presenting results.

Tasks:
- Be a part of the LEC Data Analytics team and support in tasks such as
Data preparation
Exploratory data analysis
AI/ML-driven modeling
Visualization of data
- Independently work on tasks assigned but interact closely within LEC’s research team
- Summarize results in presentations
- Prepare and comment code in detail for further usage by the team
- Communicate findings in regular internal meetings and discuss next steps/tasks
Your profile:
- Rich experience in data analysis using Python or R
- First experience in AI and in particular in ML techniques
- Good analytical skills combined with a problem-solving orientation
- Detail-oriented work style with a critical self-assessment of results and code generated
- Ability to also work independently of AI tools such as ChatGPT
- Collaborative work in a multidisciplinary team
- Interpersonal skills with initiative and perseverance
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
