The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association for mechanical engineers with around 100.000 members and in New York City. ASME is focused, among other things, on the promotion of science and the art of engineering through conferences and symposia and the development of technical codes and standards. The International Combustion Engine Fall Conference (ICEF) is the most important conference on the topic combustion engines and their applications. The schedule contains a technical paper program, two days of keynote speakers, work in progress poster session, undergraduate student competition, industry tour, and focused workshops. The conference is attended by industry experts, academicians, students, and professionals.

Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Rosseggers presentation of the paper “Challenges in measuring lube oil consumption of internal combustion engines using deuterium as a tracer” took place on October 22nd 2019 during Session 7. Dipl.-Ing Thomas Breiteneders presentation of the paper “Innovative Instrumented Sliding Bearing as new Approach to On-Board Bearing Monitoring” also took place on October 22nd 2019 during Session 7.
Both papers were published in the conference proceedings.
