At the end of September, five finalists presented their solutions to an expert jury with representatives from INNIO, WinGD and KS Engineers, chaired by Constantin Kiesling and Christian Laubichler from LEC, to select the three best solutions.

These are the winners of the LEC Data Challenge 2023:

1st prize endowed with 4.000 Euro:
DataTeam from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy:
Daniel Hebenstreit, Theresa Doppelhofer, Antonic Ognjen and Thomas Rauter

2nd prize endowed with 2.000 Euro:
Team LP from Italy:
Leonardo Pulga

3rd prize endowed with 1.000 Euro:
Team Noveo from Italy: Luca Seu

The prize money this year was contributed by INNIO, WinGD, KS Engineers – many thanks to the sponsors.

“As part of the Data Challenge, we looked beyond the raw scores and included a final presentation from each team about their approach in the overall evaluation. This year’s winners did very well and communicated their approach in a comprehensible and structured way. However, we would also like to congratulate all other participating teams for taking on this year’s challenge, which was not an easy one,” says LEC Data Scientist Christian Laubichler, on behalf of the expert jury.
