An experience for everyone – especially youth, families, and school groups

We warmly invite young people and school classes to visit the exhibition and experience the energy transition firsthand. The exhibition offers plenty of opportunities to get hands-on and discover what tomorrow’s energy supply might look like.

What can you expect?

At around 30 interactive exhibits, you can explore fascinating questions such as:

  • How is green hydrogen produced?
  • How does geothermal heating work?
  • What happens inside a fusion reactor?
  • What does the future of our energy supply look like?

Here, you can experience science up close and even get actively involved!

Our contribution from Graz: Sustainable shipping and green fuels

We present the innovative HyMethShip concept – a model demonstrating how green fuels and CO₂ as a raw material can make global trade more climate-friendly.

  • The concept showcases the diverse possibilities for using large engines in sustainable propulsion systems.
  • Large engines will continue to play a crucial role in the future—not only in shipping and rail transport but also in power generation for peak load management, grid stabilization, and increasingly for data centers.
  • E-fuels like hydrogen and ammonia are key technologies for decarbonization, and their use in large engines is being intensively researched.

Want to explore even further?

If you want to dive deeper into the world of research, we at the COMET K1 research center LEC in Graz offer exciting internship opportunities for students in a state-of-the-art, innovative research environment.

Feel free to contact us at: career@lec.tugraz.at – we look forward to hearing from you!
