LEC shines for “Orange the World”
LEC shines for “Orange the World”
Violence against women continues to be one of the most widespread human rights violations. Every year, the UN campaign “Orange the World” sends a visible message from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day): Buildings around the world are illuminated in orange as a call to pay attention and take action. In 2025, the LEC will once again join Austria’s Orange the World campaign.
The motto for 2025 is: “Men can end violence against women.”
Gender-based violence concerns all of us. Men are explicitly invited to act as active allies in the fight against violence against women and girls.
During the campaign period “Orange the World – 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence“ in 2025, the LEC reaffirms its clear commitment:
Zero tolerance for sexualized violence, harassment, and abuse of power.
As a research center, we stand for gender equality and a respectful, safe working environment. Sexual or gender-based violence, sexist behavior, harassment, and discrimination are not tolerated here.
When facing violence against women or girls:
