Successful 9th Gas Engine Conference in Dessau

The aim of the event was to inform oneself about and discuss the newest development of gas engine technology. Prof. Wimmer’s report “GE’s J920 FleXtra Gas Engine – 60 Hz Application and Further Improvements for Low NOx Emissions“ will be published as part of the conference protocol. Well-known speakers from the engine and supplier’s industry held talks for more than 250 international experts. The 22 lectures were held in English and German, as well as translated simultaneously. The main emphases were new gas engines, their equipment, future engine concepts, control concepts, and the bases of gas engine technology. Additionally 18 businesses seized this opportunity to present their own products and achievements.
The “Dessauer Gasmotoren Konferenz”has developed into one of the most important conferences in the area of large gas engines. In cooperation wit GE Jenbacher we presented the newest development of the j920. Furthermore, we could establish important international contacts. -Andreas Wimmer, CEO LEC Ltd.
